●BST LE MANS 1200LAP 2001 has finished.
It was really an exiting race. FERRARI beat PORSHE!

●30minutes was given to modify and practice. Porshe team had been practicing hard and collecting deta for a week. This enabled them to do each members' job systematically and they seemed to have a lot of advantege.
But then FERRRI began their counter atack.The members of FERRARI team, specialist on FLY 512s,finished setting up their cars only 15 minutes and began practice soon.This made PORSHE team upset.Their pit was like a battle field. When they finished their set up,only a minute was left so they could run only a few laps for practice.

●Qualify,total time of 20 laps by all members of each team,was 1-2 of FERRARI.But there was little time difference so it lit fighting spirit of PORSHE members.

●The pole position was red FERRARI 512 driven by H.H.Frenzen,a team leader of FERRARI" A "team. Rolling laps began and the organizer Mr.Bandini announced the start of the race at 22:05.

●Red and yellow FERRARIs led laps and two PORSHE 917Ks were behind little by little.On over 120 laps 917K of GULF team /driver:T.Ikuzawa went into their pit to set up again. Almost the same time 917K of MARTINI team /G.Villeneuv also followed it.They repeated pit stop and lost their precious time.FERRARIs mede 1-2 position. Especialy red FERRARI/H.H.Frenzen M.Neal M.Kondo ran at sprint pace. They all have FLY 512 and are used to drive them so this gave advantages to them.

●On about 700 laps Yellow FERRARI,which took 2nd position,had trouble with its motor and had to slow down slightly. Its drivers/J.Hall, R.Peterson, P.Depie ,E.Arvin ran dynamically and their motto was "Go for break!" Seeing this,917K MARTINI/G.Villeneuv , B.Redman,D.Hill,J.Mihara began to charge FERRARI. 40 laps behind became 15 laps by hard drive of G.Villeneuv and finally "the prince"B.Redman took over yellow 512 and got 2nd position. 917K GULF/A.S.de.Silva,M.Schumacher,G.Berger,T.Ikuzawa came to run smoothly and renewed fastest lap time again and again.But it was too late to catch up.

●At 00:40 a.m. red FERRARI 512S reached the goal of 1200 laps. The 2nd PORSHE 917K MARTINI,the 3rd yellow FERRARI 512S and the 4th PORSHE 917K GULF.
